Are you the parent of a transgender, gender-creative, or gender-non-conforming child? Do you have a child who is exploring their sexuality and/or gender identity and aren’t sure how to respond?

I offer one-on-one consulting services to parents, guardians, and family members who are seeking resources, information or support as they navigate parenting a child who identifies in a way that is different than the norm in regard to gender or sexuality. This may include gathering the latest research to take to your pediatrician, school principal, family members or church community to help them understand your child’s needs. I can also point you in the direction of the best therapists, endocrinologists, educators and youth advocates who can support you on your journey. It can be difficult to sift through all of the information out there, and I know that parents can spend hours, late into the night, searching. Let me be a guide for you.

Are you a teacher in a K-12 school and want to learn more about gender and sexuality so that you can support your LGBTQ students? Do you want to be more inclusive in your lessons, but aren’t sure how?

I offer one-on-one consulting for educators seeking to change themselves, their classrooms, and their schools to be more welcoming to LGBTQ students. I also conduct workshops and training for small groups and/or entire schools, including but not limited to: gender and sexuality 101, transgender 101, a guide to changing school policies, and creating inclusive classrooms.

Are you a therapist working to make your office more inclusive of LGBTQ people?

I can help you access the most up-to date research and current best-practices in regard to mental health services for LGBTQ people and youth. I can also conduct trainings for your office staff in terms of inclusive language and LGBTQ terminology, and help you make your office a more welcoming space for people of different genders and sexualities. Whether you need a list of additional resources, staff workshops, or something more, I am eager to help!

Are you a Camp Director who wants to make sure LGBTQ campers feel safe and welcome?

I have almost ten years of experience working with day and overnight summer camps in DC and New Hampshire. For the last four summers I have worked at Camp Aranu’tiq, a summer camp for trans kids, as a camp counselor, and art director. Historically summer camps have been very gendered spaces, and it can be difficult to shift camp culture around cabins, swimming, and gendered activities. If you want to make sure that your camp is welcoming and safe for LGBTQ campers, but aren’t sure where to begin, I am here to help guide you through the process! I can offer assistance with your website and written materials, camp policies, navigating questions that families might have in regards to any changes to overnight sleeping arrangements, and more!
