Teaching (WGSS/LGBTQ Studies)

Below you can find syllabi and/or class websites for the courses that I have taught at University of Maryland, College Park; Towson University, and Amherst College. I have taught large classes of 35-45, as well as small discussion classes of 10-15, and research seminars of 3-5 students.

If you are interested in learning more about my pedagogy, I have written a few posts about teaching on my blog, including one about what kinds of participation we value, “On Silence in the Classroom,” and one about a discussion activity that I like to do called the “Fish Bowl Activity.”

I am also excited to announce that my poetry and a teaching note were published recently in Radical Teacher (Feb/March 2019), and you can read them here.
